Case Study: Using Printed Bookmarks to Promote
a School Competition
Trinity High School in Manchester wanted students
to put forward ideas for a new logo for their Learning Resource Base, or
LRB.
"We decided to run a competition inviting
design suggestions," explained LRB Manager Luke Richardson. "The
winner would have their design featured on a bookmark which would be distributed
to every student in the school."
We discussed the conventional size of a bookmark
with Mr Richardson and suggested the most suitable material for the job.
The completed bookmarks consisted of 400gsm art board, printed in colour
on one side and black and white on the reverse, and finished with rounded
corners.
The cost per bookmark was less than 14p and
they were delivered in just five working days, ready for the official re-opening
of the LRB by writer Melvin Burgess.
